French/English Cirriculum School in Woluwe-Saint-Lambert

Hello, I have 7-year-old daughter and 5-year-old son, we live in Woluwe-Saint-Lambert and I am looking for a public school that provides English classes for a top-up fees. I heard about Ecole Singelijn, Do you have feedback to share about it or other alternatives? Your recommendations and thoughts will be much appreciated.

Singelijn does NOT offer English lessons, a not for profit organisation comes to school after hours and charges for lessons. You can get English lessons cheaper elsewhere. Don't choose any school on this. Many schools offer extra-curricular English and you can do it outside school too.

Go for Singelijn if it's one of your nearest schools, you like big schools, plus you have a space 1.5k per child per year in regular fees. Can be educated at equally excellent Parc Malou about 500m away for zero.

And are you looking for English first language or second language?
Action Sport run the English after school at Singelijn, not suitable for mother tongue speakers.

correcting myself, some are for English native speaker, it's still cheaper elsewhere on a Wednesday afternoon though.

We have arranged Wednesday English classes already for the kids but it will be much easier if we have the classes at the same place.
You mentioned that many schools offer extra-curricular English, do you have some examples, do you recommend any?

Sorry no I can't, schools' extr-curricular activities change every year, you need to ask each school.

You really should choose a school for its location (very important if going to secondary here you choose one of nearest schools), its size, its philosophy, its intake, yes its extra-curricular activities but all of them.

Wsabry where exactly do you live in WSL? You really should choose a school close to home, the vast majority of WSL French schools are fine, so you do not need to travel past several schools to go to one far away.

You will not find more than 1 or 2 hours a week English extra-curricular at schools here, if your children can already speak basic English, you're better off doing sport or music etc instead of formal English lessons which are going to be far more boring for the children.

Do you not have a school place at all yet? English classes might be the last of your worries if that is the case. If you are already in the school system, remember you can only move schools after 2nd and 4th year and not mid cycle.
