Hope no one minds me starting a new thread.

First of all congratulations to bunny for her new arrival. Can't wait to meet him (and everyone else obviously :o).

Is anyone keen? Shall we try to do it whilst the weather is still lovely?

I'm in. I met thumbwitch the other day, and I know she's always keen for a meet up, I'll alert her to the existence of this thread.

Sundays work best for me at the moment

Report
Thumbwitch · 28/05/2013 06:48

Hurrah! I'm in. Depending on when of course! Grin

Sundays are always good for me - are we doing adults + tiny babies only? Easier than having toddling/walking children around as well, I find.

I think I'm pretty clear for most Sundays in the near future - can't think of anything I have on, although possibly 16th June might be a bad one, ditto 21st July.

How about 23rd june at 12.30 ( thumbs trains if i recall make for odd times )

Would helm bar be too cold?

Report
ComradeJing · 28/05/2013 23:49

Oh balls, thought I had replied but failed.

I'm basically out until the 2nd weekend of July as we're either away on holiday or DH is away so I'll have no childcare for DD.

It's no worries though :) I can always catch the next meet up.

But you started the thread Comrade, you have to come!!

I can't do the 23rd June because bil and sil are coming down from qld to meet dd that weekend

I'm happy to do pretty much any other Sunday though

Thumbwitch · 29/05/2013 01:57

No don't worry, Comrade, this is normal! Grin
What about 14th July - are you free by that one, or was that still off-table? If not that one, how about 28th July?

Report
ComradeJing · 29/05/2013 09:33

28th is absolutely perfect for me :D

Thanks ladies!

Ok with a month to go I thought it might be good to re-ignite this thread.

Has anyone else thought about christmas in July, can't find anything on though?

Report
bunnygirl80 · 08/07/2013 21:15

I lost the thread for a while.....seems everyone else has too!!

I'm still up for the 28th if everyone else is

Report
redvelvetpoppy · 11/07/2013 09:45

As long as there's no rail works going on at my end, I will be there

Report
Thumbwitch · 16/07/2013 19:11

Ditto here - I still have it in my diary for 28th. Where are we aiming for this time, any ideas?

Abit, I think Christmas in July appears to mostly happen in the colder areas, like the Blue and Snowy mountains - haven't seen so much of it in Sydney central - although we did have the Snowtime in the Hunter Valley Gardens again for the school holidays. Not as good as last year (IMO) but DS1 enjoyed chucking snowballs around, so I'm glad we went. BUt that's finished again now. :(
Have just found this in Rozelle though, if anyone fancies it...

Otherwise do we aim for the Helm Bar again? I will have less-small-but-still-small baby with me as still bf'ing and not sure I can leave him for that long yet! so we might want to go somewhere else, where we can sit inside on the ground floor, iyswim.

Any good ideas?

Just bumping this in daylight hours as opposed to the middle of the night!

Report
bunnygirl80 · 18/07/2013 08:40

Rozelle and Balmain usually do something for Xmas in July, but I haven't seen any publicity this year. It's normally just pubs charging extra for a roast dinner though.

King st brewhouse is pretty good and there's plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. It's a bit further round Darling Harbour on King St Wharf

redvelvetpoppy · 19/07/2013 10:16

The menu looks great for Kings st brewhouse Bunny so I'd be more than happy to go there.

Report
Thumbwitch · 19/07/2013 15:45

I checked the Off The Clock menu and it does look great but I was a bit WTF at the fact that they charge an extra 5% on Sundays!! Shock Bloody cheek.
Still, it looks good so unless anyone has any objections, shall we say there? at 12:30ish on Sunday 28th July?

Report
abithormonal · 24/07/2013 05:19

I'll be there. Thumb if you're bringing ds2 you know you still get funday sunday discount?

Report
bunnygirl80 · 24/07/2013 08:40

I'll be there, with dd who's suddenly taken a disliking to anyone who's not me holding her, or in some cases looking at her......could be fun!

Report
Thumbwitch · 24/07/2013 08:48

Cool!
We need to bump this more, or PM the others on here just to make sure who's coming and that we have all relevant mobile numbers. :)

abithormonal · 27/07/2013 04:02

One last bump from me, see you tomorrow
