Should we move to Geneva with primary age children?

DH and I are wondering about this- would we find a good state school and would our children adapt ok (year 1 and age 21 months)?
We have no idea about good schools or areas or what living there would be like though lived in Zurich before so at least have experienced life in Switzerland and I speak French which is another draw to Geneva.
Many thanks if anyone has any experience

Bump!
We are thinking we should take the plunge and only came up with the idea yesterday but it seems possible with DH's work.
A strong reason would be to teach the children Grench plus for us all to have a change from central London.
I have tried the English Forum ch but found it hard to navigate so didnt find much info on specific areas / experiences positive or negative etc.

You should consider living in France but it depends on where work is. There are usually financial advantages. The school system is also different, starting at 3 years full time. There is an international stream in a lycee in Ferney-Voltaire (last 3 years of secondary), although a long way off, worth knowing about.

And a quick check shows the English section starts at primaire at Ferney-Voltaire in fact.
