Hi OP, my mum had pancreatic cancer too, I'm so sorry to hear your news. I'm happy to share my experience if it will help but sadly my mum only had a month from diagnosis to death. You will be in shock just now but I'll check back here intermittently in case I can help at all.

She is seeing the cancer team on Friday. What do I need to ask them? She's in pain what can they do? She's home but what is the best

they should be able to relieve most of her symptoms quite well. Good drugs available for pain and nausea. possible macmillan follow up. so sorry to see your news, pancreatic is esp shit
there may be other palliative treatment options to improve her quality of life too

She phoned me and said there's nothing they can do. Maybe there is. Maybe I will google maybe there is something they don't have thought of yet

So so sorry oldbaghere my DGDs other Nana (I'm their paternal ,she was their maternal) was taken by this horrible disease last year and as you are obviously horribly aware it is one of the worst cancers to treat and has one of the lowest survival rates. She also was told inoperable and was only given months (she lived nine in the end) and was quite inspirational in how she dealt with it. She was only 58 and seemingly fit as a flea till this. How old is your mum OP?

Pancreatic cancer is notoriously difficult to treat because it is one of those cancers that is very advanced by the time symptoms show :(
She should be able to stay at home if she wants to (my aunt is having hospice at home ATM - she has terminal lung cancer)
Get in touch with macmillan if you haven't already. Get them on board, they can sort out proper beds, walking aids etc. They have also helped my aunt apply for money to help with heating bills etc.
