Because they are so brilliant and full of ideas and anything the last government did was rubbish so has to go.

Hi Darcy mum - just googled the issue of Landlords discriminating against children...OMG where do I start? How do you go about submitting a new petition? Has anyone got £250,000 hanging around so that we can move this issue to the top of the pile??? I'm about to write to local (labour) MP about this and other niggling issues I've encountered as single parent of two living in area of high-demand for rental properties and social housing where private landlords can be - and are - super picky about their tennants. However, there is, I feel allot of unspoken misunderstandings / judgements / discrimination engendered here that needs to be addressed. I am now homeless - because I lost my job, couldn't afford to keep on my rental property and wanted to avoid getting behind on the rent. I've just secured new employment, but having to move in with family for a few weeks because a large percentage of the properties I have seen that are 'ideal' for my families needs - the landlords have said 'no children'. The council are pushing people in desperate need of housing onto private landlords - and - some - private landlords are turning people away...between the devil and the deep blue sea....

Wouldn't it be difficult to implement. I used to be a letting agent and landlords can pretty much have who they like as tenants. I came across blatant racism as well it's just appalling. Quite funny though because some got the professional, White couple in and they trashed a beautiful house! Single mums were often the best tenants, I've been one myself and my landlord didn't want me to leave when I moved in with my partner.
