Holidays abroad inbetween court hearings

I was wondering if anyone could confirm -

If matters are in family court do you need permission from the court to remove the children the hearings are related to, from England?

I have residence now, but months back when I didn't, at a hearing the judge ordered I could take the children on holiday for previous holiday. But no other time and not to Scotland etc etc There were no child abduction threats from me, but there was from the other side - so the judge at the time ordered the above.

Do I need permission again, or am I covered by having residence granted via a child arrangement order?

Many thanks
