How long to wait for returning clothing after house fire?

We have been waiting nearly 8 weeks for the cleaners who took our clothes away to return just some of our summer clothes. Never mind the rest. This seems like an exceptionally long time to be without clothes, and having to manage with emergency stuff.

What's a realistic or acceptable wait time? Bearing in mind that we don't know what's been written off/or is coming back. Does anyone know the time limits. It was manageable at first, but is getting more and more difficult

Dealing with any insurance situation usually involves a lot of phone calls, are you speaking to them regularly to get an update? Also write letters so you have evidence of communication. It can go on forever otherwise.
