Hi
DD had a lovely full set of hair extensions weaved in this summer at a cost of just under £300. She's a student and saved for ages for this.
When they needed reweaving which is cheaper, she found a hairdresser near to her uni offering student discount of 20 % so instaed of £80 for reweave it was around £55.
Anyway firstly she found the manager to be really unhelpful/ ie, everyone except dd was offered tea and a magazine. She just thought maybe it was because she was getting student discount and ignored it.
The girl doing her weave was polite . However she cut her extensions ! dd said I don't want them cutting and she continued to cut them with a blade thing saying how awful it was to see the real hair suddenly stop and then the extensions. She layered her hair extensions big time and cut it without consent. Her style now is so much shorter and thinner its hardly worth having them in.I mean she cut off a good 6 inches .
A few days later the weave started to drop out.
The shop agreed to reweave her hair and apparently the girl who did them is only in once a week. this is making dd wonder if she was a student and even qualified. She didn't realise or get asked if a student could do her hair.
They cant fit her in for at least 2 weeks by which time she will be on a 6 week placement away in London. They have agreed to do it free but not without dd asking several times.
Every time dd tries to talk to the manager she's busy so I tried tonight. They were unprofessional (chewing gum on phone which I know isn't a crime but irritating ! ) and advised me that the owner was busy . When asked what it was in connection with I replied " a complaint" and was briskly told I could try her tomorrow but she did have appointments all day.
I really don't think dd wants to go back as she doesn't trust them and neither do I tbh.
She really needs a new head of extensions at a cost of £300 which she hasn't got because they have ruined hers and the reweave is awful-its actually at her shoulders !
Could she take this further formally because we are very upset that she is out of pocket, her extensions are ruined and whats left is falling out. Wouldn't mind if they had made any attempt what so ever at sorting it out but they`re just not bothered ???
