15 year old niece stripping on camming site

I'm posting on behalf of my shocked and sickened Dsis, who's just found out that her 15 year old DD has been stripping for money from her bedroom on a cam girl site.

Dsis has made sure her DD has deleted the account, and is doing everything she can to make DD understand just what a dangerous and exploitative position she put herself in.

It's got me thinking about the wider issue - if it's so easy for underage girls to set up camming accounts, how many other girls my niece's age could be doing this without their parents knowledge? My own DD is 13 and I'd be mortified if I thought she was tempted to do this.

Would it be worth reporting the site to the police? Shouldn't these sites by law have to ensure girls verify how old they are or am I wrong about this? If they don't, are they operating outside of the law? Is there actually a law to protect underage girls doing this?

Just hoping to know where the law stands on this before I decide whether to take it further. Thanks.

Yes report, however there will be fall out.

Your dsis you invest in nanny net softwear, take away all Internet priveledges, and engage with social services about the impact and consequences of such actions.

Make sure you report the site to the Internet Watch Foundation.

A 15 year old probably doesn't have a bank account. How were they paying her?

She was using my Dsis's paypal account - that's how we found out.

And thank you for the link - looking at it now, it's really helpful.

That's something to mention when reporting. Even if she lied about her age, absence of bank account for an obviously young girl is an indication of the site being at best reckless.
