Hi All
I have worked for my employer for 3.5 years, have never had any concerns with my job never pulled up on work apprasials always perfect etc. the company is a small company little bit shady a few dodgy dealings to get round things. the MD hires mainly friends of his, or his best friends wifes etc plus his own family. out of 15 people myself and one other person are not in anway related to the MD out of work. slowly over the 3.5 years he has made people redundant despite their job not being redundant and a couple of weeks later re advertising and hiring new people.
I had a few serious personal problems beginning of the year which resukted in a bit of time off work, when i returned i was given a written warning no verbal straight written, also in written warning were very general reasons for warning other then my time off (reasons that related to everyone not just me) at same time i got a warning so did the other person who isnt connected to the MD. i took the warning drew a line under it and got on with my work, but knew this was the start......roll forward 6 months and i was suspended due to allegations and apparently they needed to investigate but when they called me in to suspend me the way the MD spoke to me and shouted at me i knew he had made his decision before any investigation and now dismissed. the allegations are 100% false, there is obv no evidence it is all hear say and i have appealed their decision and i will take it further with an unfair dismisal claim.
I wondered if someone could help me regarding claiming some form of benefits. i cannot get to local job centre today will be going monday but ive heard i cannot claim anything for 26 weeks due to being dismissed?? can anyone help me as CAB is closed today also. i am applying for jobs but im a single mum with a 6 year old and unsure of what to do
Thanks in advance
