Does the absent parent have to ell the CSA if he starts cohabiting? Does that constitute a change in circumstance?

I don't know. My XP moved in with his girlfriend after the csa claim started and the amount of money I receive hasn't changed.

I am sure her kids don't live with her though.

Unless the new partner has children cohabiting will not affect the amount paid. The partner's income is not taken into account in calculating payments.

thanks for your replies. I wouldn't have expected the new partner's income to have been taken into account, but insofar as it effectively halves his outgoings I hope it might have had some bearing. Hey ho.

For a new case it makes no difference though if new household has children the assessment will reduce if he notifies the CSA. There's no obligation on the absent parent to disclose to the CSA.
