I signed a 6 month tenancy in June this year and so it is due to end on 25th December.
Realised earlier today that i have heard nothing from the landlord either to extend or terminate.
What happens now? will I be evicted on Christmas day?
New to renting so no idea what happens in these cases. Please help.

Don't panic, a six month tenancy is a normal starting point for a tenancy, its usual that following this intial period the tenancy automatically extends on a month by month basis until the tenant gives one months notice to quit or the landlord gives you two months notice that they want to end your tenancy.

If you havent already, re-read your tenancy agreement and phone landlord to advise you are staying on

Thanks for the responses. I have not had a section 21 and when i took on the tenancy the landlord knew I wanted it to be long term but he wanted to start with a six month tenancy to make sure I could pay the rent.
I will contact the landlord tomorrow and check.
