Recipe of the week

penguinmum's creamy fish pie: smoky, seasonal fish in a creamy white sauce with grated, rather than mashed, tatties on top - a meal of the highest comfort-food order.

I think I have toddler fatigue!

(7 Posts)
juule 9 dc.. you are amazing! well done you!

You know sometimes I look at my super cute youngest son with his floppy curls and blue ayes and unintelligable rambling babble and little giggles and feel so sad trhat he will be the last....
Then other times I am trying to do some craft project with the older ones and he is climbing all over the table trying to get to the paint/glue/glitter/whatever and I am so ready to be done with toddlers LOL grin

I had baby/toddler stage for 18y. 9 children in 16y. Do I miss it? Sometimes but I was ready to see the back of the buggy etc in the end. Much easier getting around without it

I have to say I am dreading the toddler stage which I counsider to be from 12 months to 4 years or at least it is in our family.

I hope to feel this way soon.

I am currently expecting #5...

Our eldest is 12.
I am like this now. My eldest is just 11 and the youngest 2.5. I am fed up with the whole toddler thing now!!
every day, for a minute or two, I feel like this. And then I feel guilty...but yes, will be glad when the drawing on the walls and the stairgates phase is over!
does anyone else ever feel they have been running round after a toddler for ever??? I have 6 DC, oldest is 11 1/2 and yougest is 18 months. The 18 month old is (obvioulsy!) gorgeous... but also totally non-stop and exhausting! All my DC are about 2 years apart (give or take a few months) and so I have had a baby or toddler in tow for the last 11 years!! DS2 (DC6) is our last, and whilst there is a tinge of sadness that comes with accepting that,I must admit to actually secretly looking forward to a day when all my children can talk and walk properly and dont need buggies and stairgates and nappies and high chairs and no longer rip books or draw on walls every second you turn your back (or maybe that isjust my toddlers LOLwink)
Anyone else ever fell like this?

Links The simplest way to insert a link is to enter the link itself, surrounded by [[ and ]]. So if you type [[www.mumsnet.com]], the link will display as http://www.mumsnet.com. If you want your link to display text other than the web address itself, leave a space after the address then add the text before the ]]. So "Look at [[www.mumsnet.com this page]]", would display "Look at this page".
