We live in a council house, we have no option to get a bigger house,
but I would love more children in the future.
I have 2 DSs in large room, our room and box room for DD when shes older.
My mum had the same set up with 4 girls, she had 3 of us in the large room but I hated it growing up.
Not sure what I'm asking really, just been musing this lately and feeling

about it.
My friend has a 2 bedroom house and 4 girls. Her and her DH have one room and the 4 girls share another.
This post made me think of this
http://inashoe.com/2008/05/big-family-in-a-small-house-part-3-floor-plan/
my house suddenly seems plenty big enough!!
Better to have all the kids you want and love in a small house than a big house with no kids in it

we have a three bedroomed house, we rent privately and at the moment there is no way we could afford to pay any more than we are paying now.
we have a boys room and a girls room but only three kids at the moment. I would think we could fit at least one more in though

We're in a 3 bed HA flat with 4 boys. The two eldest share and the two youngest share. DS1 (14) is desperate for his own room but the HA say we won't be moved until he is 16.
The storage here is terrible and we don't have a loft. Drives me crazy sometimes.
Not in a 3 bed, but we are currently living in a 2 bed HA flat which is riddled with damp and according to the tenancy agreement, can only have 3 people living here.
At present there is me, DH, DD and DS - we are expecting DC3 in May (unplanned btw). When DC3 arrives, we will, technically be overcrowded by 2 people. DD has her own room atm, but when DC3 arrives, DS will have to share with her in bunk beds (DS is 17 months and not walking yet, so I can't see him being ready for a bed at just before the age of 2 so we can use the cot again).
The HA won't entertain a move for us at the moment, we have to go through the council and apply to go on the housing list again (it's more of a bidding system now). Even with the overcrowding issue and DS's medical complaints (chest infections, chronic asthma etc etc) we will be lucky to get a move out of here.
We are so tight that we don't even have room for wardrobes to store clothes in, there is clutter everywhere as no room for storage. It's a nightmare.
Would love to move, but a) can't afford to buy and b) looks like it's never gonna happen

i live in a 3 bedroom house with 4 kids, its chaos, my son and daughter have to share, my oldest has the box room and the youngest sleeps in beside me, there is no room for toys and clothes are piled everywhere, would love to move but no chance in near future
We have a reasonably sized 3 bed and although we could probably afford a 4 bed other things would suffer for it, so we've agreed to stick to 2 kids for that reason.
The only way I'll get 3 is if this next one is twins, and I don't want that with a DS that will be 2.5!!
Dis - I am SHOCKED this is you

At present we have a small 3 bedroom house, well the bedrooms are tiny (it's a new build) DD1 and 2 have bunks in one room which isn't big at all, DD3 has her cot in the box room which is tiny, think single bed and chest of drawers and that is it.
Due to fate my MIL died this year

but the one good thing if you can think of it like this is she has left us a bit of money that will pay for an extension, I am dreading the work but this house is so small it is essential, DB4 is due in May. We really don't want the money but the best way to spend it is to invest it ultimately for our DDs, it was one of the reasons that we decided to ttc#4 really
We are so fortunate small 3 bed house but we were able to put a "storage room" in the loft and flung dd1 up there. So we have 2 sharing the biggest room, dh & I squished in the middle room and then a reasonable single room which is forunately large enough for a cot & a single bed with a gap in the middle.
We did until recently have 3 in big room and we kept them in cots for as long as possible.....
The storage loft room is not legally a bedroom and it is possibly invalidating our house insurance but the loft was boarded out, had electrics, a ladder etc when we moved in so possibly we'd be okay....It's also only used part time as dd1 is at boarding school
