Would you want a 12kg load washing machine?

Just that really. We have 4 DC and the washing machine is dying. I'd love our 7kg machine to be bigger but can't decide if 9kg is more than enough or whether to buy this one.

Yes. I have 3 dc and the LG i have is fantastic.
Mine is 8 or 9 kg, and does us very well so i think the one you linked is probably ideal, we do 1/2 washes daily

I'd love a 12kg one, I quite often have to do 2 loads of the same type of washing instead of one massive one. My DC's are all young though so quite often the sheer volume of washing is due to potty training accidents, painting, food being split, nappy explosions (DC4) etc. Last time they were all sick at the same time I had 2 duvets and 3 covers to wash as well as pajamas and a bedroom rug, so yes, I would have loved a massive machine on that day. I guess it may not be so different when they are older with sports kits and school uniforms.

I'm not sure how much the LG one is but I said that the next time I but a machine that it would be a miele due to the length of time that they are meant to last and what they will put up with. They usually come with 5 years warranty as well...I'm not sure if they do a 12kg one though.

I only have two kids and I would love a 12k machine! My 9k one is on constantly.

I have an 8kg and 4dcs aged between 7 and 2.

For me, the 8kg suits me fine. The dcs are not adult sized, so I think it will do me for a while. I often have the problem that, for example, 4 white polos need washing and I have no other whites. I suppose I cold we a colour catcher, but at the moment, I feel like I'd struggle to do separate washes for white, darks and colours each day (average 10-15 loads a week).

has anyone noticed how bloody lovely washing is in summer! Just a few dresses for the DVDs, no socks, tights, vests. My washing pile has shrunk considerably....

I have 5dc and LOVE my 12kg drum washing machine. Just remember that it won't all fit in the tumble dryer together or all on the clothes horse. It is fab for being able to put duvets in though.

I agree with NAR4, I love my 12Kg washing machine (Samsung ecobubble) we also have a 12kg tumble dryer (also a Samsung ecobubble). Best investments, ever!

With 6DC who constantly end up messy they're life savers!
