Hello OP

I only have 3 dc but no3 our lovely dd was conceived when I was menopausal.
The week before the doctor confirmed the pregnancy blood tests had revealed I had started the menopause.
Apparently it happens to many women and if you stay with me here's the evidence.
Years ago women had their families a lot younger than today where it is normal to find post 40 year olds ttc.
All this age years ago who found themselves pg was by mistake or during menopause, apparently.
I wish you luck but don't give up yet. x

That's what people keep telling me, that many women conceive when their menopausal. I'm 39 and been trying for 2 years and been told by doctors its unlikely i'll conceive. I'm not giving up hope though, it's just so hard to stay positive when its taking so long!!
I was talking to a family friend recently and they were told they were menopausal at age 38 but went onto conceive at 41.
Congratulations to you getting pregnant on the menopause! xx

I was told I had started early menopause at 39 (after 6 years of sleep dep with DC with sleep disorder and ensuing insomnia afterwards)....I had a course of Chinese medicine for the related symptoms (not so much for the early menopause itself, didnt know that til i went for diagnosis and treatment) which responded well...nonetheless, assumed my fertility was likely shot still anyway...and unexpectedly conceived at 41....to say I was surprised was an understatement....I knew Chinese med worked (from my own experience) but not that well! But apparently (in my case at least), it does!

I saw a Dr privately after my dc4, when my GP said I had started the menopause. He offered to prescribe me something to help me conceive if it had not happened within a year. Don't know what he would have prescribed because I got pregnant a month later.

The point of me telling you is it was the best £50 I have ever spent and think maybe it was what I needed to hear, to relax and fall pregnant.

Worth doing if you desperately want another child.
