We have twin boys who are now 2 and found out I was pregnant again. Thought it was twins, but now discovered it is triplets!!!! Has anyone else coped with 5 kids under 4? And if so need some tips. DH will take some time off work, but then will have to return leaving me with the 5. None at school either. Another thing, they are all going to be boys!!!!

Wow! Congratulations!

I only have twins. I had a nursery student on placement with me from college for her nanny placement 2 days per week for 4 Months which was great. Worth checking whether your local college needs placements, there is no charge and mine was great.

Also, red he there is a local teenage babysitter who could come after school a few days per week till kids go to bed. They don't usually charge much and the extra help is really handy.

Cleaner.

Any parents or friends you can get to help.

Good luck

Congrats! I have 7mo Twin boys and expecting my 2nd set due in Dec so I'll have 4 under 2 plus a 2 and 4 yo.

MY advice; if people offer help, accept it. Set up routines and make sure you have time for yourself. It's always good to check out charitues in you area who help large families i.e with cleaning etc.

We've only just decided on a cleaner but I've managed pretty well with my Df and dh's help, though dh works full time. Freeze meals, figure how feeding will work. It's overwhelming but worth it.

Contact Home Start and see if you can get a volunteer once a week.

Also, see if your local council provide free nursery places for 2 year olds from families where there is a need.

Many congratulations! I'm a mum to a 4 year old and had triplet girls last year. Massive shock but can't imagine life without them now. How are you feeling?

Feeling ok at the moment, excited and anxious at the same time. Grin Forgot to mention, we also have a 4-year-old boy.

My sister had twins and she had two trainee nannies from the local college 3 times a week to help her, maybe there is something similar in your town. Congrats by the way .

Wow! congratulations! You are a very lucky lady indeed, although it will be tough you have already had twins so you have an idea of what to expect. Have you got lots of help around? Enlist anybody and everybody! I used to get my family and friends to only come over when it was feeding time so that they could help give a bottle.

I write a blog [email protected] if you want to pop over and have a reassuring read. Also if you join the "triplet and quad mummies" group on facebook there is another lady on there who had twins and then triplets a year apart :-) good luck! xx
