There is a whole nappy section with loads of info. I recommend terry squares with fleece or flushable liners and Motherease wraps.

Have a look at clothnappytree who have both a great info section and a forum for questions, they also have a cracking preloved section for trying things out (bargainacious!). Also thenappylady has tons of advice and offers hiring and trial bundles as well as standard purchasing. I use mainly Motherease onesize Dry with motherease Airflow wraps, and Itti Tuttos for out and about. but there are tons of makes out there which suit different babies and budgets. Just don't buy a birth-to-potty pack as they are £££ and may not fit your LO!

It's probably best to have a selection of different nappies which you build up over time.

We have 2-part, pockets & all-in-ones. It often depends on what we're doing, where we're going & what mood we're in!

The best advice is either to find a local nappy library to try some out, go to a local retailer & have a nappy demo or buy a trial pack like this one.

It is a personal choice & depends on your views about how often you want to wash, what drying facilities you have, who will be doing most of the nappy changing etc.

There is lots of advice out there but it can be overwhelming so it's best to get some direct advice & try a few out.
