Any advice on how to lower this is much appreciated. Feeling very upset about it and not sure what next steps to take? IVF privately seems to be the only option given to me by the hospital.

Was the hospital offering to do IVF privately? If you go down that route, just be aware that there seem to be as many policies on FSH levels as there are clinics. I was turned away from one IVF clinic with day 3 FSH of 19.5 as they said it was "impossible" I'd get pregnant. I conceived that month naturally (aged 43) and the result is having her nap upstairs. There are clinics that will treat you with FSH of that level though.

Also be aware that FSH levels can vary month to month - my most recent were 5 and 7.

There's lots of supplements you can try - I guess its personal preference how far you take it, anything from ordinary prenatals (like Pregnacare Conception) to Zita West, to whole lists of supplements like www.fertilityfriends.co.uk/forum/index.php?topic=294994.0

Daily wheatgrass shots are supposed to help - I used these before conceiving my DD [e.g. www.bigjuiceltd.com/buy-fresh-frozen-wheatgrass/]

You could also try accupuncture - try to find a practitioner that specialises in fertility issues.

Good luck

Thank you so much for your advice. Congratulations on your daughter!! That has restored some faith for me. All they said to me was the NHS could not do it but you could look at hospitals privately yourself.
I have contacted a fertility acupuncturist and have an appointment a week on Thursday.
I will also try the wheatgrass shots.
Thank you for all your advice
