FET after ERPC

Hiya girls,

Hope you are all well Smile

I am looking for some advice and thoughts. I recently had my first BFP after 2 years TTC .... 6 failed attempts with clomid, 1 failed ivf with no frosties and one fresh cycle with donor sperm which resulted I the BFP and one frozen (top grade 6AA+) blast.

I was ecstatic!! Best feeling ever in the world and then at 7 weeks scan confirmed missed miscarriage and on Friday I had an ERPC to remove it..... Genuinely devastating!!!

My physical effects are not bad... No cramping and very little bleeding but emotionally I'm finding it hard to move on. Really feel I need to start going again with my frozen embie so I have something positive to aim for.

I am under CRGH and have e-mailed my consultant for advice as to when I can start my next cycle and am awaiting a reply. Has anyone had experience if this and know how long I will have to wait??

Also what does the frozen cycle involve??

Anyone had BFP after ERPC??

Advice would be gratefully received...

Thanks

Smile

So sorry your going through this. Ive been there and its bloody hard.

I had an erpc at 12 weeks, then I had twins with FET. My first dd was also a 'frostie' after 6 years ttc which included clomid and fresh cycles if ivf.

Frozen cycles are less demanding on the body than fresh as you don't have the extra stress of stims/egg collection.

Depending on how regular your natural cycles are you may even just have to monitor for ovulation and they are put back at the right time.

I only ovulate a few times a year so I had to down reg still so they could get it right.

I gave myself a few months before we tried again. Partially as I needed to grieve and partly was scared as I knew that this was our final attempt and I wanted to be fit as possible.

I think they like you to have a least one cycle in between before they will try again so they know where you are up to with dates.

I'm a big fan of FET, with 3 snow babies to show for it, after resigning myself that I wouldn't be able to have any with 6 years trying under my belt.

Wishing you all the luck in the world x
