Starting the journey advice on clinics living in south Oxfordshire

Hello lovely ladies,

I hope you can help. I have been TTC for a year but nothing is happening, it looks like I am not even ovulating and given my age (42) I decided to bite the bullet and go and see a fertility clinic.

I initially made an appointment with the Oxford Fertility Unit, they have booked me in for the 5th of September and all the reviews I read all all very good.

However, after booking that appointment I did more research and found out that ARGC have a much higher success rate with women my age. Now I work and live in Henley on Thames and I am a little concerned about the fact that ARGC require daily tests during treatment, I know that ARGC have just opened a satellite clinic in Oxford but it will still be quite a journey.

DO you have experiences of these clinics? Would you recommend either of them ? Any other clinic that I should consider ?I should also add that I have a son who is nearly 2 that was conceived naturally after 2 MC and a long time trying.

Thanks very much in advance

I had 2 unsuccessful cycles at the chiltern in great missenden. Not sure I could wholeheartedly recommend as my second cycle was mismanaged quite badly.

Went on to ARGC and it was an entirely different world. I lived in Wycombe at the time but honestly commuting wasn't too bad as the clinic really close to marylebone.

You only need daily trips for the stimming part, so not long. It's like IVF boot camp. Intense, expensive and not for faint hearted! But, they gave me my wonderful DS so worth every penny.

Good luck
