I've been to Mr Shehata's clinic at Epsom Hospital. I didn't actually see the great man himself but rather one of his consultant's. Be prepared to talk about your history and to gave lots of blood taken. He will test for the NK Killer Cells as well as a few other tests.

Are you seeing him at the New Life Clinic? I'm thinking of having my IVF there.

Good luck.

Hi London, thanks for your advice.
I am going to 110 Harley street to see him? I was advised to bring up to £2000 for the tests but I have had quite a few which I can take with us to prevent duplicating any. I haven't had nk cells testing but read up alit on this. Are you being treated by them as well as Ivf? X

No I'm being seen in his clinic for my recurrent miscarriage. I'm considering IVF at New Life as I may have immune issues - just waiting for one of my final test results. If I do have immune issues then it'd be sensible to have the IVF there. If not, then I'd consider other clinics.

Wow, they are asking you to bring lots of money! I remember for the first blood test that the consultant ordered I had 14 vials of blood taken! I'd recommend taking a small snack as you may need it. I felt light headed and they kept me for 20mins till I was ok.

Do you know which blood tests you need? Maybe you can have some ordered by your GP in order to minimise the costs?
