Getting ready for IVF

I am going to have another go at IVF in August and wondered if anyone had any advice on diet, supplements etc. I am 38, about a stone over weight after my cycle in May which ended in a miscarriage.
I have a diet coke a day is that something that may have contributed as I know I should have give up all caffeine?
So really want some collective wisdom as I don't want to go through that again.

Best of luck. I highly doubt that a diet coke each day caused the miscarriage. It is more likely that it just was not genetically strong enough. I lost my baby in February at 21 weeks and so I understand the heartbreaking disappointment.
I won't say be positive as it's so hard. Just be brave. Eat healthy and avoid processed foods and drinks - like squash and ready meals. Drink plenty of water and eat loads of greens.
I've tried everything.

We were advised to drink a pint of milk a day (skimmed, semi or full fat). IVF worked first time.

Good luck x

Oh, and was told by clinic to eat a pregnancy diet (no soft cheese, etc) - I was overweight too, but ate really healthily.

I am no professional and not at ivf stage yet but I would say just eat healthy. Lots of fresh fruit and veg, pulses and I would knock the diet coke on the head. Cut down on processed foods and up your protein.

I wish you the best!

I was advised to eat high protein, low carb for IVF. I did one cycle in April - only produced 5 eggs (I am 41), but all large, all fertilised and got two excellent blastocysts from them. Our fresh cycle failed, and we're going again with the frosty this cycle.
I was also advised to drink 2l water and 1l milk (my clinic said full fat or semi) per day.

I'm trying some of the recommendations in this at the minute, especially the daily fertility smoothie idea - chucking maca, acai powder, spurulina, royal jelly, all sorts into them! Possibly a load of tosh but I'll try anything at this point.
