Soya Milk while ttc?

I have always enjoyed soya milk as it is so creamy and sweet, and I have recently read that it mimmicks Oestogen and can prevent ovulation. Although I have also read it has no effect unless consumed in huge quantities. I haven't had soya in years but recently started drinking it again (about 2 glasses a day) and now I'm wondering if it's a bad idea? It sounds like a pile of rubbish to me, but at the same time I currently have ammenhorrea with no AF and no ovulation and I dont want to prevent treatment (clomid etc) working...hmm, does anyone have any thoughts on this?

I would definitely avoid it.
As well because soya is in sooo many foods. Chocolate, lots of yoghurts, ice cream, breads, cakes so you are probably getting enough of it already.
Also vegimince.
If you already have a hormone imbalance...

I would avoid it because it may affect thyroid function and further to that its a bit of a frankenfood.

But is it just a case of paranoia? It seems a bit extreme. I'm sure sugar, salt, saturated fat, tea (caffein) etc etc could all be taken as 'foods to avoid when ttc'...but realistically its not often people avoid them completely. I generally eat vey healthily, surely soya milk isn't as bad as eg alcohol? I guess I don't want to start obsessing unnecessarily...surely there are far worse things. As you say, thousands of ppl drink soya milk or eat vege mince and nearly all of them ovulate (look at china etc)..and the info I've read seems conflicting. But at the same time I don't want to make my lack of ovulation worse Hmm

I think i saw that the effect of the hormones in it was stronger if you are heavier, maybe it gets stored?

Would you be able to switch to a different non-dairy milk instead?

Even if the impact of the soy is minimal you are obviously going to worry about it now, and that won't help either...
