Spilled a bit of my injection

I gave myself my second injection of Gonal F today and as i was trying to get rid of the airbubbles I managed to spill a little as the end of the syringe came a bit loose. I managed to inject at least 70% of the dose. I have another injection to do on Thursday then scan on Friday. I will hopefully have iui in this cycle. I have a DS already conceived through the same protocol. We had 3 follicles before on the same dose so I thought I shouldn't worry too much about the spill? Am I right they can give you more injections anyway if the meds haven't quite done enough after 3 shots?

I don't know for sure but am pretty confident that spilling a bit will have no adverse effect on your treatment.
I've done 3 cycles and there were always incidents with the blessed drugs! No problems arose.
Keep calm!
Good luck!

Thanks resipa. Do you know if for instance the dose wasn't high enough for any follicles to grow big enough is a further injection usually given? Last time round it worked without a problem first time (after 18months of hell trying other treatments).

So I've finally started my journey! I'm on a short cycle of ivf. Today I had my scan so we could arrange a date for egg collection but was told my amh is really high for my age ( i'm 28) they've extended my injectionsns for another 3 days and then I will have another scan to see it there's any changes.

I was told if nothing has changed then my cycle will be cancelled which has really upset me.

Has this happened to anyone before and did the extension of injections help??

I'm so sad about it all as I'm so close to egg collection day 😫
