Today I took my first buseriln injection. I was rather nervous & had practised yesterday on an orange! It all went ok though, just as well really as that was the first of many.

I feel excited but mixed with trepidation. We've been TTC for 2 years & not so much as sniff of success. We're both in the "normal" bracket after having had all the necessary tests, albeit I'm 37 so that's the one thing against us, so we are labelled under the heading of unexplained infertility. Which is half reassuring to know nothing specifically wrong to stop us conceiving but half frustrating as why isn't it working then?!

Well I'll be glad to hear from anyone going through a new/first cycle of IVF - here's hoping for a BFP! ????

Can I recommend the "egg buddies" thread over in Conception to you? I found it really helpful when I was cycling. Not sure if there are any first timers on it at the moment as I am a graduate and no longer a regular poster.

Btw I had a similar history to you- ttc from just before I turned 35 with no joy for just over 2 years before we resorted to ivf. I went for natural/mild cycles as I don't do well on hormone drugs. I am currently pg from cycle 4. (I also got a bfp from cycle 1 but sadly miscarried.). We were also unexplained so I have no idea what undiscovered problem ivf overcame, but it clearly did solve whatever problem was there.

Good luck!

Just wanted to say good luck. I am sitting here getting snuggles from my beautiful IVF baby. She's just over 2.5 and worth every injection, internal examination, hormonal meltdown.

Hey, hi, am one day ahead of you, having Buselerin spray instead. Good luck!
