I think I'd like to donate my eggs

But where do I go from here? I've had a quick look online and I seem to match the basic criteria (proven fertility, under 35, bmi under 30 and no hereditary diseases), but I'm unsure about how to proceed now...

I don't mind being a known or unknown donor, I don't mind giving my eggs to the nhs or someone going private. What I do not really want is to give my eggs to a private clinic where their new family will be charged sqillions of pounds for them.

Also I've got 2 lovely healthy dc, but I've also had 2 miscarriages, so will this impact on my ability to donate?

So what are the benefits/negatives of each option, and can anyone point me in the direction of what I should be doing next.

You need to look at the HFEA's website as they are the UK regulator for that oversee the use of gametes and embryos. There is specific information and sections on there for potential donors. Their web address is:-

This link should work:-

What a wonderful thing for you to think of doing. As someone who is contemplating donor egg IVF I'd just like to say thank you. X

You are thinking about doing a wonderful thing. I still think about my DC donor mum a lot, many years on. She is anonymous (pre change of law) so I have very few details to share with DC but as asks about babies and so on I have introduced the story.

What a wonderful thing to do for someone. We had donor ivf and our egg donor was altruistic - we now have the most gorgeous DD. I will be forever thankful for our wonderful donor.

There are so many women out there in need of a donor. All you need to us contact a clinic and the rest will follow. I'd suggest calling a few to see who you like the sound of.

We had our treatment here http://hsfc.org.uk/ and they were great to us and our donor was very happy with them too.

On behalf of all the ladies out there who need egg donation, thank you smile
