Retroverted cervix and fertility

Hi ladies I'm new to mumsnet, but hope someone can help.
I recently went for a smear test and was told I had a retroverted or tilted cervix.
We were about to start trying for a baby so I asked if this was a concern. The nurse didn't give me a straight answer but looking on 'dr google' has got me concerned. Does anyone have any experience? I'm going to make an appointment with my gp too.
Thanks

I have a retroverted uterus - have had 6 pregnancies in total (2 unplanned) with 3 of them early miscarriages and 3 full term babies. It has obviously never been a problem fertility wise for me and I don't think it was a factor in my miscarriages. 3rd pregnancy i was admitted to hospital for bed rest on my tummy to "help" my uterus fall forward - future pregnancy that went full term they doctors told me that was not considered necessary anymore!!

I have this too and conceived straight away both times we were trying. Good luck!

I have this too and have 4dd's and 2 m/c's. I certainly didn't find it affected my fertility, I was pregnant 6 times in 6 years :)

I have this too and never had a problem with fertility, I just remember it is more difficult having a smear test.

Hi, I have this too. We have been TTC for 3 years with no luck (no miscarriages or anything) and all tests normal for both of us. It probably has nothing to do with the tilted uterus, I don't know, but I have started looking through a speculum at my cervix and notice when I am lying down it is pointing 'upwards' towards my bellybutton, which would mean if I lay on my back after sex like I have been doing, the pool of semen will be around my cervix like a moat with the opening stuck out the top! So now I have realised this I am trying 'rolling around' a bit instead of laying on my back with my hips up, also laying on my front. Mine is a bit to the left as well so I am leaning a bit that way, trying to swirl the sperm around so hopefully it will find the opening of the cervix more easily, lol. I've heard of people getting BFPs after doing head stands and all sorts! Will let you know if it's successful!

Thank u all for your replies!! Certainly more positive than I had been. AF not due until 10/11th and I don't know if it's extremely wishful thinking but I've felt lots of 'symptoms' the last few days. Sickly, cramps, sore breasts... And I'm normally regular as clockwork and that would be v early for pms..... Fc!!!! Xxxxx
