What area are you in? I emailed local clinics for prices a year ago. Some asked me to book a consultation (at around £200) before they would disclose but some sent me a full price list and were very helpful Smile

Hi, I've just started and its costing me £650 plus drugs. So far I've paid £20 for supercur and £95 for gonal f. I imagine I'll have to buy some more though - I was told drugs would cost about £250 in total but obviously depends on how I respond.

Thank you, that is so helpful.

Im in Wakefield, but our closest IUI/IVF medicine place is leeds. we're paying NHS. which is "MEANT" to work out cheaper, but i dont think it does with what ive been reading. on their price list it is, 775 for iui itself PLUS ovulation monitoring (scans i presume) then drugs werent listed. cheeky eh.

i can cope with a couple hundren quid, i just didnt want it to be LOADS more. good luck ladies. and Thank you again x

Where are you Flowercot? I was quoted £1200 for IUI inclusive of drugs and monitoring.

I paid 750 (natural IUI, so no drugs). That included the scans. This was in London. We ended up buying a package of 3xIUI for £1500 but only ended up having 2 before moving on to IVF.

Hi Bessie- I'm in Sheffield and was told by our consultant at the Hallamshire that full IVF cycle is £3000 so I would guess IUI is a lot less than that.

Hi

Our first round of private iui was around £2.5k. This is in London. The actual iui was £1000 which included all scans and the initial appointment with a consultant. However, there were a lot of expensive screening blood tests we had to do first. You might be able to get your GP to do some of these but probably not all. My dp also has a DNA fragmentation test on his sperm. I had an FSH and AMH test. Then there are the drugs, I had Clomid, the trigger injection and rhe progesterone gel which I had to use twice a day after the IUI.

It was successful so I then had blood tests for hcg and progesterone levels which were extra. I then miscarried so had another consult with the doctor before deciding what to do next.

So it can all add up! But next time will be cheaper as all the preliminary tests are done and I have some drugs left over.

We are currently doing treatment for unmedicated iui at a London clinic. Sperm costs us 850 per treatment, the actual treatment costs 750. We were relying on ovulation sticks as per clinic recommendation however for past two months haven't picked up a surge so next cycle we will have a scan on day 12 which will cost 120. Will at least have one try of unmedicated before moving onto medicated and expect that to cost a couple of hundred pounds more to include drugs and scans.

To get to this stage we had initial consultation 150, most bloods done at GPS free, AMH done 80, counseling included in consult and HyCoSY 400 I think.

It's not cheap at all and will end Ho having IVF maybe overseas if iuis dont work.

Hi I ended up having my iui today! I went on Monday for a scan and had four large follicles so I was recommended a follicle reduction. In total I paid £650 for the iui, all the scans I needed and if it works I get a scan at 6&9 weeks. In addition I paid £95 for gonal f, £20 for suprecur, £15 for the trigger shot, £24 for cyclogest which I need to take for 2 weeks. Then also £150 for the follicle reduction. So in total £954, here's hoping it works!!

Thanks for the swift reply Bessie84! How are you getting on?
That price sounds really good. Have about £1'500 saved at the mo so hopefully get a few treatments out of all that.

Hi,

Me and my partner are currently looking in to starting a family! We are completely new at this and we have gone to our GP but she didn't have a clue on what to do and was no help! it's now been 2.5 weeks and I have phoned the GP 5 times and still am no further than when we started. We don't even know if we would be eligible to go through the NHS or we have to go private. So is there anyone in the West-Midlands area that has gone through this process and guide us in the right direction?
