Clomid Cycle 1......what do you think?

Hi ladies, I started clomid on CD2-6, had scan on CD10 showing 1 small follicle but thin lining, repeat scan CD12 when follicle was 17mm but lining still thin at 3mm. Repeat scan on CD17 when follicle had burst as measured just 3mm but lining thickened to 7.5mm. Also on CD17 got my first EVER +ve OPK. We've been DTD regularly since first scan on CD10. My cycles are normally 31-34 days long. Today I'm on CD30 and have no indication AF is about to arrive. Normally at about CD25 my boobs start to get extremely tender but not this month. They do feel full and firm but not at all tender. Although no indication AF is about to arrive, I don't have any early pregnancy symptoms either other than I'm really tired (but I do get tired in week running up to AF) and my anxiety levels for the past week have increased quite a lot to the point I feel a little shaky, esp on a morning. What do you think? This TTC lark is doing my head in and I've it just started treatment after 2.5yr yrs of trying naturally!

Do you have an actual diagnosis?.

Have they tested your man for possible male factor issues?. They should do this now if they have not already done so.

Would suggest you refrain altogether from using OPKs when on clomid as they are problematic to use. Clomid encourages more LH to be produced, the kit you used may have just read that increased LH level.

Would not retest in your circumstances, when do you next return to hospital?. Presumably as well you are under the care of a consultant.

Hi Attilla,

Yes I have diagnosis. I've been diagnosed with PCOS at age 18, now 34. I also have tipped uterus but that shouldn't affect anything. I've had the dye test and no blockages. I've had all sorts of tests, blood tests, scans etc etc. conclusion is I don't ovulate on my own. Husbands SA was ok.

Anyhow, I think AF has arrived which answers my question of if it's worked this month. Yesterday I had a few cramps, short sharp bursts of cramping, and had light pink when I wiped (sorry TMI) but that's all. Nothing this morning but thinking its AF on way....boo hoo

Have they considered ovarian diathermy surgery for yourself?. This is something I would ask them about.
