oral contraception while waiting to start new cycle?

Hi there, a quick newbie question. Looks like I'm starting my first round of IVF treatment on the 27th of this month. It will be day 20 of my cycle. Should I be using contraception this month? At the info evening, I'm fairly sure the specialist said not to worry, but I'm wondering if I ovulate as normal on day 14, there's some chance I could technically conceive? We've been TTC for about two years now, so realise it's unlikely, but just wanted to see what people thought? Many thanks for any advice :)

I'm also hoping to start ivf soon and have been advised to go on the pill the month before purely for timing issues. It will allow the doctors more control over cycle etc. Hadn't really considered your concern before now so I'll be interested in what other people have to say...
