Infertility

I know I'm being stupid here, but...

...I'm currently undergoing investigations for secondary infertility. I had blood tests at 5 days and 21 days this month and they showed that I didn't ovulate.

I'm not a muppet, I'm aware that if I'm not ovulating then I cannot get pregnant. But I was using opk stick things and I reckon I might have ovulated on day 21, so it didn't show up on the test.

I reckon that my period is due on Boxing Day. The chances are that it will show up right on time because I haven't ovulated. Even if I poas and by some crazy miracle I am pregnant then Boxing Day would only be 10 dpo so would be the earliest it would show up.

What do you reckon? Stop deluding myself, no poas and hit the white wine and worry about it after Christmas or try someone to come up with an excuse to lay off the alcohol which won't makeup entire family think I'm pregnant?

Do the family know you're TTC? If so, could you just ease off the wine (not forgoe completely) and say that the consultant recommended you drank a bit less! Or say you hit it too hard at Christmas parties in run up and want to detox a bit! Bear in mind if you're late ovulating you may not get a BFP for a while yet... Perhaps even towards new year. At least if you abstain a little from the vino over Christmas and then do get AF before new year you can make up for it then! Sending positive thoughts!! Xx

My DS is 2 so I think they've probably worked it out - they don't know anything about the tests though.

I think I'll volunteer to do lots of the driving of grandparents around and see what happens. I'm fairly certain it's not an issue anyway!

Thank you for replying!
