Hi there,
I am wondering if there is anyone in the same boat as me at the moment or if there is anyone who used to be in my position.. Just looking for some support to be honest as it seems everywhere I look people are getting preggo without having to baby dance more than once.
So my story is that I was diagnosed with polycystic ovaries a few years ago, got married just over a year ago and we decided to start trying straight away. My periods up until that point were irregular - every 3-4 months, when I got married I had a period every month for about 8 months, then no period for 3 months, had one period and not had one since February 2013. My doctor referred us for treatment, hubby's sperm is good, no problems there. My day 21 blood test from my last period showed I didn't ovulate. No surprise there. The doctor instructed another blood test as my previous one showed my thyroid level was slightly high but not high enough for medication. She also wants me to have a HSG test done - which hurt like there's no tomorrow but that showed there's no issues with my tubes - no blockages. Il get the full report when I see my doctor. I've got to have a ultrasound to see my ovaries and then I'm hoping my doctor will put me on clomid. I am however feeling quite down and a lot of things are getting to me right now. Although I've made a plan in my head to lose some weight - I am slightly overweight - exercise more, continue to take my vitamins etc I'm worried that time is running out for me, I find myself researching the worst case scenarios like what if I have bad eggs, what if I don't have any eggs left and that's why I don't ovulate. My doctor wasn't overly supportive so I'm just looking for anyone out there in a similar situation to me. Baby dust to all x

Hi there, I'm more or less in the same boat. What age are you? I keep thinking time is running out and have to remind myself I'm 30 not 50!!

I was diagnosed with PCOS earlier this year, which wasn't really a surprise as pre pill I had very irregular periods and post pill, absolutely no periods! (Except a few light bleeds which definitely weren't ovulatory cycles)

I had a HSG too which wasn't too bad, it showed the dye flowed through my tubes but was a bit slow in doing so, so now I'm heading for a laparoscopy and ovarian drilling next week, then starting on clomid.

I have to keep telling myself that I'm only starting at the beginning of my TTC journey, there's lots of options available and luckily I've got a really lovely consultant and supportive DH and hopefully we will get there!!

Hi, thanks for replying!
I'm 26, everyone says I'm young etc but a lot of my family have had issues getting pregnant and although they have all managed to, I can't help thinking il be the one who it just won't happen to. Paranoia or what?!
How long have you been trying? And how come you need to have a drilling? I wasn't told much after my hsg yesterday, they just said neither tube was blocked and a report will be sent to my doctor. I'm waiting for my letter for my ultrasound now. Has your doctor talked about treatment with u?
