Brown spotting in 2ww

I am currently in the 2ww after an icsi cycle. 8dp5dt of an early blast and a morula. Today I noticed a watery brown discharge (sorry TMI). I phoned my clinic who said that it could a) be implantation spotting and therefore a good thing or b) a sign AF is on its way. I have a mild tummy ache too. So I'm none the wiser! Anyone experienced this and had BFP??? X

Thank you sooo much for your replies. I had it on Tuesday (8dp5dt) and a tiny bit yesterday (9dp5dt) and now none. Not sure what to think.... Interested to hear more stories!! X

After my third fresh IVF cycle I got a TWP on a home test at 4dp5dt. BFP the following day. (My clinic told me not to test at home, but I was far too impatient)

I started to spot 8dp5dt, and it got heavier 9dp5dt. I thought it was all over, but that was the day my clinic did a pregnancy test. My betaHCG came back at 167. The clinic likes to see a level greater than 75, and preferably more than 100. They agreed to repeat 48 hours later, although the next day (10dp5dt) the bleeding stopped. The follow up beta came back at 273. It was then repeated 13dp5dt and it was more than 3,000. I now have 19 week old twins, one of each flavour Grin

What wonderful positive stories. I'm so terrified to raise my hopes but certainly feel more positive hearing of all your lovely successes. Did your clinics tell you the 'bleeding' was from the progesterone? Implantation? X

My clinic didn't know what caused it. Certainly, on one of the days the bleeding was much heavier than spotting. They said it could be implantation bleeding or possibly old blood coming away because my egg collection had been so traumatic (lasted 50 mins instead of 10 and was the most painful thing I've ever experienced).

I have read, though, that implantation bleeding, if you get any, has a tendency to be heavier with twins...

When are you due to have your pg test?
