We are currently under investigation, I am of normal weight and not poly cystic.
I have a very, irregular cycle with no ovulation consultant doesn't think.
I had a cycle day 10 test and my doctor is away until July so wont have an app until then.
Can anyone tell me what this means?
Progesterone: 1.1.
Estrogen: 1.62.
Testosterone: 0.8.

FSH: 10.5
LH: 11.

I know we aren't qualified doctors etc etc but if anyone can shed any light on any of these I would be so grateful. Please be gentle. I am desperate for answers to what the hell is going on and Google is not helping!
Thank you.

I think it looks a bit like poly cystic from what I've read.
They scanned me recently and I have no cysts but in my teens I was told I had poly cystic ovaries after some scans.

The cystic follicles associated with PCOS can disappear, only to be replaced by further cystic follicles. Also the polycystic ovary can appear larger than normal i.e walnut size. It can take a highly skilled sonographer time to spot the cystic follicles though because they are so small.

PCOS is certainly associated with irregular cycles. I have PCOS and rarely if ever ovulated.

Have they ever done a day 2 test to check and compare your LH against that of your FSH?.

What sort of doc are you currently seeing, is it a gynae at a subfertility unit?. You should be seen regularly and by the same team of people each time.

Yes to gynae at fertility unit
Yes same people each time

Didn't have day 2 drugs

I have had poly cystic ovaries in the past but they definitely sure they weren't any cysts currently. I know the cysts can come back but they were 'looking beautiful' apparently.

Do you have a regular cycle if you don't mind me asking?
If not what do you do about it?
I can't just not have periods! I have early onset osteoporosis. I need to call someone and rant I think!

I've read on further and discovered my prolactin level is 88!
Is that high?

Why day 10? That's a really odd time to do fertility blood tests. they are usually done at days 2-5 (LH/FSH) and day 21.

LH and FSH being close together suggests no PCOS (at leat that is true for day 2-5 - I've no idea what would be expected on day 10).

I had day 10 tests done many moons ago, it was done I think to see what the LH and FSH levels looked like at that stage as well. Day 10 is not commonly done but I had this test done more than once.

I have PCOS so have never ever had a regular cycle (still don't!). Problems started on onset of menses.

PCO does not disappear of its own accord but it can be managed to a certain degree. Sticking to a Low GI/GL eating plan can be beneficial to those with such conditions.
