We are starting D/R on Thursday for long protocol...just IVF but have done ICSI before (and have lovely Dd to show for it!). This will be our fourth(ish) cycle, how about you?

Hi crisps I start next month - Been trying for my first for 2.5 years it's been an awful journey. Finally gone private as NHS won't even add us to the list til end of this year then another 1.5 years waiting after that. I'm terrified!. So lovely to hear you have DD from ICSI it gives me hope. Good luck with your treatment would love to hear how you get on Smile

Don't be scared...just break it into chunks...first two weeks of d/r are easy, and don't really count, middle two weeks of stims are busy and fast and a bit stressful but will go quickly, removal and replacement are exciting, then the 2ww is a bit boring so just fill your days to stop yourself googling and worrying! In a strange way it's lovely to see your body actually working for once if you are anything like me! We just try to keep an open mind and see what happens, although this can be easier said than done. Drop me a line when you start...s

Hey crisps had an absolute bombshell last week - BFP. After 2.5 years of trying absolutely shocked.

just wanted to wish you luck. I was in your boat last april, though I had short protocol.
in my opinion you've done the hard bit - the waiting, the testing, the retesting, more waiting and a bit more waiting for good measure.

follow every instruction to the letter with your jabs. I even timed mine to the minute using the same clock each day.
ralax and rest as much as possible.
for gods sake dont Google every last symptom - you'll go crazy.

make sure you have plenty to occupy you during the 2ww - its torture (better to be honest) stock up on books/box sets/films/go for walks etc.

oh and keep positive. I was realistic without veong negative if that makes sense. I didn't go into it thinking this was the answer to all my prayers as we all know the odds aren't super fantastic. I went into it thinking id give it ny best shot - do everything i was told as best i could then I would always know i did everything i possibly could.

12w ds is currently with his daddy while mumny gets some rest ie. I shouldn't be on mn

wishing you all the luck in the world! xx
