My husband will be receiving his semen analysis results in next few days. Am quite nervous!

What figures are normal? Any experts out there!

Thank you in advance.

We've been trying for a year - am fed upConfused

I can't remember my dh's off hand, but when we got them the 'normal' figures were there on the print off, so it was quite easy to compare them to what they should be.

Know how you feel, I am fed up too!

I can't remember my DHs actual numbers. I did open the envelope and find out he had a certain % that were not much cop.
The consultant told us it was normal. I was feeling gutted for him before that.
Good luck OP.

They should explain to you about it all with the breakdown. The main thing to remember is even in a 'normal' result most of the swimmers are duffers! The other thing to remember is that even if its not great, there's things they can do. DH's results were not good! No rapid swimmers at all :( However further tests found a cause and with treatment I was pregnant within 8 months :) I recall our GP saying if they couldn't improve things, IVF was still and option with them 'spinning' the sperm to get them more concentrated and get the good ones out! Hope it's all ok!

The normal ranges should appear after the result on the test printout (like for blood test results).

They came back as in the normal range. Phew.
Thank you for your replies. Now more investigations on me need to be done Grin
