I've posted this in conception thread too but i just want to say i've started my menopur injections and they are definately not as horrific as i thought. My dh did the first few and last night i managed to do it myself. As someone who is a complete wimp when it comes to something like this i feel proud of myself.

However i'm not getting any side effects yet which has got me worried that it isn't working, is this normal???

I didn't really feel any different until towards the end of week two. How are you follicles growing?
I felt quite tired when I wa down regging.

I was ok until the last few days when I got very tired and my ovaries got a bit painful. The injections were much less terrifying than I expected too! The hcg one was fine as well although the clinic insisted DH did that one. He enjoyed stabbing me in the leg a little too much in my opinion Smile

My nxt scan is on wed where they will see how much they are growing, fingers crossed i respond well. The hcg injection doesn't sound too pleasant tho...eeekk!!!! My downregging was ok, i had night sweats which wasn't very nice!!

My injections haven't been too bad this time either - I've been on a high protein diet (which is meant to be helpful for preventing over-stimulating) and apart from being a bit sleepy I've been fine and scans suggest I'm producing a good egg collection (16+). Your scan will let you know if it's working.... when is it?

I really hope so. I got told that my egg reserve is below average but normal for my age. Because of this there isn't much danger of me over producing (i'm 35)whereas someone in there twenties the risk is higher. I so hope my scan is ok, i have one wed then another one friday then all being well i'll be ready for my egg collection the following week....eeekk. Good luck ladies xx

just had my egg collection today - really not too bad, I've just done a lot of sleeping today and they managed to get 19, so can't complain (I'm nearly 37). Fingers crossed for the next bit.

Good luck blonde and the drugs DO work!
