Hi - I'm in the early stages of IVF (post transfer).

We also have frozen embryos - different grades but some grade C. We are planning to use these embryos as well in a later cycle we hope as siblings.

I was just wondering if anyone knew what the chances of say a grade C embroyo surviving thawing and managing to lead to a pregnancy are?

I just pray so much that my embryos make it - I love them already.
thanks for any info you have.

ps. I also just want to say a big good luck and hug to any other women going through this. x

Hello hellokittyy I'm afraid that I don't know the answer to your question but I am interested to see if someone does as I am in a similar position to you - embryo was put on board last Saturday and just waiting now... I've also got some frozen.

Good luck to you! When do you test?

Hi there
Your really need to speak to the embryologists at your clinic.
We only freeze embryos we feel have a realistic chance of implanting after freezing, but the chance of them coming through the thaw process can vary from 40% to 90% depending on the stage they were frozen at and the method used.
Hope you don't need them for ages and ages though!!

Hi - thanks for replies.
Badgerface - actually we've had a positive test :) We are so excited but also nervous and obviously can't really discuss it with people in RL.

Not sure why I am thinking about the frozen - I guess it's because I'm v unlikely to do another full cycle and I was just imagining what could be (best/worst scenario type thing). Though obviously would be absolutely delighted with just one baby (pls god..)

Badgerface - I wish you so much luck - the 2ww is just so nervewracking I know. XX
