CRITICALLY ILL IN HOSPITAL

Former Northern Ireland Secretary Mo Mowlam is critically ill in hospital.

The former-Redcar MP is described as being in a "critical but stable" condition in London's King College Hospital.

Ms Mowlam has previously suffered a brain tumour and her health has deteriorated in recent months.

she is the only politician I have ever had any time for.

The bbc coverage of this reads like an obituary!!!

I have had the privilege of meeting Mo Mowlam too, she is a fabulous woman, and anyone who thinks the tining of the IRA declaration is coincidence well...
She tells jokes that makes your toes roll over in laughter too.
I really hope she gets through this, she has made on great impact on the IRA negotiations and thus on British history

The Guardian is more specific - "Earlier this month she fell and injured her head and has not regained consciousness.

She was taken to King's College Hospital and was transferred to the hospice last week. She had earlier asked in a living will not to be resuscitated and in the last few days food and water have been withdrawn."
