Hmmmmm! Yes.
I must admit though, when hearing about the London bombs a surprising, possibly shocking, feeling rose within me. I wished I was back in my pre-children job, in the newsroom, gathering and broadcasting the information. I wanted to be part of the action.

People were cheerful and fulfilled during the war weren't they. One famous statistic is that there were no, or virtually no, suicides on the domestic front.

I really cringe when I hear someone on the news call it 7/7 though. It does all seem a bit grasping and graceless. It seems they're desperate for us to all pull together like in the war, but the main difference was that the Uk was united and in full support of the action then. People don't know what to make of this now. I don't anyway. It's just horribly.. I'm lost for words..expected. YKWIM?
