I feel that these people must have a hard enough job to do at the best of times, but yesterday....!!

Like you say, hats off to them.

What brings it home to me today is as I was rushing away from Moorgate on the advice of the police, the emergency services were rushing in.

The bravery and courage that it must take to put yourself right in the hotspots is truely awesome.

The police were still out on the streets last night, on almost every street corner directing people as what route they should use to get home.

Truely fantastic people, and very humbling.

I'm not British, but the thing I love about Britian is that the overriding sentiment of "we will overcome" "we will carry on" "we've been through worse and we're going to continue" - I just love that "carry on, stiff upper lip" attitude - well done Britian.

YAY! they were fantastic. So were the bus drivers, who ran an alternative service from the edge of London, (as well as 18 of them being commandeered as transport for the 'walking wounded') and cabbies, who came on duty to get people home - and the many who picked up survivors and took them home or to safety without charge.

Absolutely - I think (all of those mentioned here) plus many more probably did a fantastic job yesterday.

Yes - really noticeable, immediate and instinctive, attitude of NOT "listen what happened to me" BUT "who is worse off than I am? What can I do to help?"

well done everyone
