Oh how sad, not very old either, I have had a lot of pleasure from his shows. RIP

Terribly sad- I feel so sorry for his family. I grew up watching his shows in the 80s, he gave a lot of pleasure to a lot of people.

Oh this has made me really, really sad. I grew up laughing with this man.

RIP Lord Flash Heart, the best sword, the best shot, the best sailor and the best kisser in the kingdom x

I loved him hard as a teen, just like Caitlin Moran. RIP Rik xxxHmm

I really feel like someone I knew has died, which is of course ridiculous, I never met him. Just grew up watching everything he did I think, from Kevin Turvey in the early 80s then obviously YO, Bottom etc...as a teenager Alan B'Stard was my secret crush!

RIP Rik x

Gutted.
Loved him as far back as I can remember. His facial expressions used to crack me up, especially if he turned up on Jackanory. And, indeed, Flash Heart.. WOOOOFF!
So very sad, his poor family.
Why not someone else??
Comedy genius, RIP.
