I saw on the last thread about the socks, you wear 'socks' over your stumps, just as people would on the feet, you wouldn't put your prosthetic on without socks as it rubs terribly and can leave you with sores, it also helps cushion your stump against the prosthetic. Socks and tights are problematic with prosthetics as you don't have the grip on the floor, and as a prosthetic doesn't move they can be a bloody pain not sitting very well, you would only wear them to go with whatever clothes your wearing, they have no practical use for us, -just like slippers, that a sister bought me the first Christmas after losing my leg, thanks --

Long winded, but I should imagine the socks were for his stumps.

I can't believe @Em etc is OP, that makes no sense. It just seems like more of springy's link - jealous female who loathed Reeva for some reason and hinting that her family didn't care much for her.

that's interesting onestep as I imagined the socks he was hunting for in the dark were to put on his stumps before he put the prosthetics on. Yet Dixon in the witness stand when holding Oscar's leg, it had a sock on it so I thought I had got it wrong.

I guess he could have been wearing socks during the day and not taken them off his prosthetics when he took them off, sorry, I thought that he was hunting for socks but of course why would anyone be looking for socks just after shooting someone anyway, so that must have been it. [confuses myself]

Yep the photo taken after shows he is wearing socks, he must have left them on his prosthetics.

Onestep, that's what I wondered, but he definitely had socks on his prosthetic feet.

I wonder if the ones he needed to find were the ones from his stumps, and the ones that were tested for fibre etc. were already on his feet.

So he was wearing two pairs of socks - and the ones that he needed to find were the ones between stump and leg. That makes the most sense with his story.

That's what I suspected, which made me wonder why he'd look for socks to put on that would give him less grip on the bathroom floor, given that he was about to try to get the door down.

These twitter timelines are vile. Who would have that much venom in them to talk that way about someone who was murdered.
I can't see it would be OP though, no one would risk it because of the consequences if they were found out.

Anya, I think when they asked for the adjournment till 5th May they said it would take 2 weeks court time after that. The judge & 2 assessors then take up to two months to deliver the verdict.

Smitten I agree. What a story that would be for which ever tabloid exposed it. Plus 'she' refers to a partner and to knowing OP for 23 years and Reeva for 5. It's horrible.

I think that perhaps he was a murder waiting to happen

Perhaps he was waiting for an opportunity to show what a real man he was by killing someone on his property
His tweet about arming himself and going def con on his washing machine might lead one to believe that
However he didn't fire at the washing machine

Also witnesses never heard the washing machine arguing with him and screaming for a prolonged period before he shit it repeatedly by mistake

I think that the Pistorians are actually disordered individuals.
Pretending that they have an inside track is all part of their illness. Best not to pay any attention

Just read the Vanity Fair article - it answers the question about previous assault charges in 2009 being dropped.

So there was a phone of OP's & Reeva's found in the toilet but the actual phone he called security etc from was one he put in his pocket before carrying Reeva downstairs & which ended up on the charger in his kitchen ( which he says he has no recollection of doing)?

My phone allows emergency calls without code

Really Ronald? I scrolled through it because of Zulu saying it was suggested it was OP - didn't believe that but wanted to see why - and it's just horrible bitchy jealous stuff, hints of what she knows but just attacks on Reeva really. I don't think life is improved by the internet in all areas.

@Erm is vile and I have no words to describe the utter disgust she is. I read up on her up to 5 Apr. I must say some of the things she says about Reeva makes me suspect she is related to OP. How does she for example know that OP is adviced to look away from Gerrie Nel when testifying? Reeva's ex or is it a friend told police that when he went to lunch with Reeva Oscar kept on phoning, she claims that Oscar ony called twice and records are available to prove this.
She\he in not so many words refers to alleged injuctions the Steenkamps have against publication of alleged 6 assualt cases the police were investigating against Reeva.
I find her level of hatred too personal and I could be wrong but I suspect she is a family member or an Pistorius PR(she claims to work in PR)
