She needs to accept that her fifteen minutes are long since up and stop trying to make a living in the public eye. Maybe train to do something or start a business instead of manufacturing stories to sell every time she needs money. I actually feel really sorry for her and her DC. She has nothing to offer the media except her continued downfall and it's a real shame that it looks like she's happy to let everyone see her misfortune and be paid for it.

Christ it comes to something when your image is seen as too toxic for loan sharks sorry payday lenders and Iceland.

Lots of celebbie people seem to be doing this - they will never get approved for mortgages again but they can spend, spend, spend and declare themselves bankrupt and avoid paying their debts and income tax on earnings not just for one year but often for many (because of the delayed payment, erratic payment for actors/mussos etc they don't have to file tax returns exactly like us plebs.
The debts are discharged within a year. It used to be a lot longer .Ray Winstone apparently does this every few years and crows about how he never pays any tax. Shane Filan from Westlife moved to England and bought a house in his wife's name when the Irish property market he had invested in looked dodgy, a few years before it completely collapsed. He declared himself bankrupt in the UK and so avoided the 5-12 year discharge period in Ireland and heavier rules about borrowing and surrendering assets.

They do it to avoid paying tax, the wife/girlfriend of martin freeman (from the office & hobbit) has done it recently so she doesn't have to pay a massive tax bill. It's probably not KK herself who is bankrupt but a LTD company that deals with all her earnings

Janesnowden

I know more musicians than any other profession and I have never heard of one of them not having to file a tax return.
In fact many have been investigated, more than other professions of self employed I know. They are a target, you see.

But you've got to love her. She is absolutely bonkers conkers, but I have a soft spot for her.
We lived in her home town of Warrington for year. She is thought highly of there. Honestly.

According to the popbitch mailout yesterday she's in the market to buy a million quid house.

Wish I could get made bankrupt, I'd have much nicer "stuff".

Just wanted to update to say I read an article on her today in the Guardian which explained the whole thing and I'm actually sorry I started this thread now as it appears mostly that its down to the taxman and her tax/financial advisers that this has happened.

Her initial tax bill was £82K.

Since it happened she has paid over £430k in fees because her court appointed trustee costs £750 an hour and apparently at the last count £400k has been swallowed up by trustee and associated legal and accountancy fees. Shocking !!!

Also, because she was earning money but it was being taken by the last bankruptcy she couldn't keep any for her new tax bill, hence the second bankruptcy.

So I was wrong and apologies. Hmm
