Another woman has been arrested and bailed.

It sounds as if it was a school run row. It was just on the london local news now.

It is just unbelievable. Very very sad.

"Police said the victim left her car in the dispute in Barnet, at about 1840 GMT on Monday. She was hit by another car ..."

so not quite the road-rage murder I thought when I read the top of this thread.

The report on that link is quite different from the one I saw on the local news. I suppose stories do change as more info becomes available.

Still very sad for the poor woman.

Regardless of the circumstances that is horrific. I would imagine her two small children witnessed this Sad

I as yesterday that both women were in a pub. The victim left but could not get her car out of car park as other woman had blocked her in. When victim asked her to move car she was rude and aggressive. Once outside, the victim went to remonstrate with other woman about how rude she had been, and other woman who was in her car at this point, just drove straight into her.

No idea how try this is, but if it is tru, I hope that woman gets locked up for a very, very long time.

The BBC report says that the car which hit het was not driven by the person she was aguing with.

Ah right. The story keeps changing. It's says now it was the woman she had a dispute with that knocked her before it said it was someone else.

The local news this evening says clearly that it was the woman with whom she was remonstrating that drove straight at her, knocking her against a beleisha beacon (they were close to a pedestrian crossing). She died from head injuries. There were lots of witnesses including her husband and children.www.barnet-today.co.uk/News.cfm?<a class="break-all" href="//id=7203&headline=Woman" rel="nofollow noindex" target="_blank">dies after being thrown from car bonnet into zebra crossing

Very sad but not school run related. The victim and her family had been to the pub for lunch.

This is the very reason I back off from confrontation these days. When I was younger I'd stand my ground over most stuff, but ever since the Garry Newlove case I'd rather back off and get the police involved if it's necessary (luckily it never has been necessary).

Poor woman and her poor children. Sad

My brother got his face smashed in by a neighbour over a parking dispute.
The guy got done for ABH and made to pay my brother a sum of compensation in weekly instalments.
My brother's nose was broken, he is permanently disfigured, and has had 2 operations as a direct result.
All because the guy didn't want him to park on the public highway outside his house.

Same here Growlithe. There was an awful road rage murder in Ireland a few years ago and the thought of it certainly makes me disengage with any driver who is looking for confrontation and especially try to let anyone whose tailgating me just get by (however much they are stressing me). Better to have a dangerous driver in front of you than directly behind you in any case.

This particular incident sounds horrific and senseless and appalling for that poor woman's children.
