by officers on Operation Yewtree. Where's it going to end? Is anyone not a sexual offender?*

  • Yes I know plenty aren't.

He has been arrested not charged.

Hmm, so his concern that a number of worried celebs had contacted him... included himself? Desperate attempt to make it look like an unfounded witch hunt went wrong, eh Clifford?

I don't know who has been charged and who hasn't tbh, but I don't think names should be released until they have been charged at least (although I would go as far as to say until they have been found guilty).

Not charged and in the video link on that link I think the suggestion is he may know information about others. That might be what the police are after.

Chrismissy, I know he's not been charged, police must feel they have strong evidence though if they've arrested him. This whole operation is so high profile I can't imagine anyone moving to arrest without evidence to back it up. Whether that leads to charge and prosecution is another matter...

78bunion, perverting the course of justice perhaps?

ChrisMissyMooMooMee - I agree.

Mind you, I have no time for Max Clifford so not worried about him in the slightest.

There have been celebrities in the past who have been arrested and proved entirely innocent (it may or may not be the case here) and their careers and lives have been ruined over it because they got so much bad press.

The fact you are already speculating on the evidence and police feelngs goes to show exactly why it shouldn't be public knowledge just now.
