So annoyed about this story-js

I've just read that the Leeds general infirmary are more or less trying to discredit what the hospital porter said about js bringing girls to the nurses rooms by saying js didn't start working at the hospital until 1990.
Well I'm sorry but that's wrong. Js used to sit in the nurses home laughing with the warden prior to 1990. He behaved like he owned the place then.
I started my nurse training in 1987 and the following year I remember seeing him sat there as my friend was trying to sort her accommodation out.
Why does this hospital feel it has to try and discredit its own staff that have worked there all their lives.
They are trying to do a cover up.

Then don't let them cover it up, tall someone who will need that information.

who should OP tell though?

Here

Scroll down to the post from Twiggster near the bottom. Interesting on what went on at LGI in the 70s. Posted last year when he died.

And yes, they are trying to do a cover up.

I agree absolutely, OP, you should tell someone - either the police investigation or a newspaper. Preferably the police investigation.

OP, tell someone.

It does seem the hospital are trying to minimise it, if not cover up. :(

FunnylittleFrog, that website with Twiggster's acount is evidence that should be forwarded to the police. I would suggest you save it to your computer, in case it is taken offline, and send it to the police along with your statement.

MamaMary - the link is from DigitalSpy - will look back at the thread to see if the original poster did send it to the police.

Yep I definitely remember him walking round the corridors of the nurses home. God that account gave me the shivers.
Mm what to do I want to back that porter up he is a really nice guy and twigster also backs up that he was in that nurses home many years earlier than 1990.

It'll all be down to the definition of "worked" which is not a synonym for "had access round all sorts of places round the hospital". It's undisputed that he was a volunteer there from the 1970s (?). The investigation is likely to be working on more than the dates he signed on and off various official positions.

You need to make a statement.

Loveweekends10 · 02/11/2012 10:23

I've sent in a statement via email to West Yorkshire police. I'm not sure if it will be useful who knows?

You've done the right thing, that's what you've done. Tell the police everything you remember - write down some notes or a timeline so you don't get mixed up or intimidated by the uniforms. It's going to be fine.

With the police now involved, OP, stop posting. Consider showing them this thread and ask at the meeting this afternoon if it needs to be deleted.

Loveweekends10 - I just want to say thank you for speaking up. And yes, you might want to get this thread deleted (next to the original post, there's a "report" button. Just say "I'm the original poster, and I need to get this thread deleted, please")

Well done loveweekends, you've been very brave standing up for the truth. Write down everything first before the police get there so you don't get muddled up or forget to say something.
