Okay, yes I know I'm avoiding getting on with any work, but take a look at this...

Pub Lunch Ending Bush's UK Visit

I swear that second picture of him waving at Teeside airport doesn't look like him at all! What do you reckon, body double for the sake of security?!

Yes, yes... I'm going back to work now. sigh. Another 500 words before my next break...

Is this working on your writing Georgina ?

Looks like one of those wax-work models?

Yes, I rather foolishly told everyone I was going to do National Novel Writing Month this year. Writing a 50,000 word novel in 30 days... I must be insane.

I'm 37,500 in though... so still on track to complete.

Got to the "find anything to do rather than write" stage though.

Am I being really dim Georgina, which picture? I can't see one at the airport.

I'm at work and I too can not be arsed!

GAH! They've changed it, the bastards!

I reckon we must have been on to something, so the Beeb took it down sulk

FairyMum was right, it did look like a wax work model! (Although, I suspect that's insulting to Madame Tussauds - their wax works are FAR more realistic than that!)

I looked at the airport pictiure earlier, although didn't have time to post, you may very well be on to something Georgina as I think he did look abit odd/different and I think if I saw that George W in the street I would have been fooled which is probably the result they are after.

What is your novel about ? 50,000 words in a month seems like a tall order !

Um, what's it about? Hmm... well I have themes of adultery, abortion, stalking, being selfless to the point of losing your own identity in the process...

I basically generated five characters (well six, but she got left on the cutting room floor) and sat back to see what would happen

It's been fun, and I've been surprised that it hasn't been quite as crap as I expected. Not a literary masterpiece by any stretch of the imagination, but fairly readable.

I'm getting a bit sick of it now though, and will be glad when it's all over!! Especially as I have 5-6 chapters left and have absolutely no clue what's going to happen next... I have one character seriously injured feared dead, one in hiding at her parents house, two facing divorce and the other about to be a single mother when she loathes children... I just take my frustrations out on them, obviouly

It's up on the net, WSM - you have to be brave to read it though and remember the "shitty first draft" prinicple

Don't expect Booker Prize material for goodness sake...

Yeah, well you know... draw on real life experiences and all (ahem)

Yes - couldn't believe how cold it was taking ds to and from nursery! There's still frost on the ground in Tescos carpark!

Hmmm, perhaps coffee/tea/juice/water and cake would be a better idea if the weather stays like this !

Just looked at your site Georgina, will read some of your novel soon, but just looked at the picture of baby, lovely. Noticed that they still have the name of the OLD hospital on the picture.
