Anyone got an email contact for elective HE in Lambeth?

I apparently sent an outline of our provision to an Irene Carbin last year but I cannot remember how I managed it as the only contact info Lambeth give out is a telephone number which actually for their PRU....

The Ritzy Brixton Cinema have created a free children's book day to focus on those from disadvantaged homes in the borough of Lambeth.

It is said that children from this group do not get to own a book of their own during childhood.

Therefore, we want to hold this event every year to give children the support they need to ignite their appreciation for literature.
The world of cinema is about great storytelling. And, the smallest of community interactions could potentially support the next legendary filmmaker ( You just never know)

Sunday 31st March 2024. Upstairs Ritzy, 11am 5pm. We have a lot of books to give away. Plus prizes for the the children who write a paragraph sbout their best superhero or hero to prize winning social enterprise email [email protected]

Poster is attached.

We are holding a Children's Book Day event on 11am-5pm Sunday 31st March 2024. (Poster attached)

Lambeth Council are marketing the event via the printed Talk magazine on pg 3 and is distributed to 60k homes across the Lambeth community.
In addition, Lambeth Council will be alerting teachers to give their pupils the opportunity to enter the online competition for the event where the winners receive family cinema tickets.
The competition is for children to create a paragraph about their favorite superhero or personal hero to be emailed to the Lambeth award winning social enterprise [email protected]

Moreover, we are hoping that the main feature of the day will be for every child to leave with a book of their own.

Books Love will be our stall for the day who will present the following authors

  • JoJo and Gran Gran gets the most traction because it's on BBC but a close second is 'The Story of the Windrush'
  • followed by Benjamin Zephaniah's 2 'People Need People'

See you all soon!
